The political career of Shri Sarat Chandra Bose started from the very beginning of the formation of Swaraj Dal by Deshabandhu. He was elected a member of A.I.C.C. for several times, the President of B.P.C.C. and the leader of Bengal Provincial Council. He was a supporter of his younger brother Subhas Chandra Bose's every political activities. He was imprisoned several times.

Death anniversary of Shri Sarat Chandra Bose will be observed in a befitting manner on 20 February, 2010 near 'Akasbani Bhavan' at 9.15 a.m. Wreath placing will be arranged on behalf of State Government. Apart from Govt. officials, other persons will also pay their homage on the occasion.
