| The swearing-in of the new Governor of West Bengal, His Excellency Shri M.K.Narayanan, took place in a solemn function held in the Throne room of Raj Bhavan, Kolkata on 24.01.2010 at 4 PM. The Hon'ble Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court Shri M.S.Shah administered the oath of office to him. The swearing-in function was attended by Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Hon'ble Finance Minister Shri Ashim Dasgupta and other Ministers of the State Cabinet. Hon'ble Speaker of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly Shri H.A.Halim and Leader of the Opposition Shri Partha Chattopadhyay were also present at the ceremony. The Chief Secretary of the West Bengal Government Shri Ashok Mohan Chakraborty conducted the proceeding of the ceremony. |
